    What's the cheapest best quality coil machines and or rotary or pen styles? Or specific things to look for....have tattooed for 10years, but been awhile since I've built or even used machines frequently

    • @TattooUniversity
      @TattooUniversity Месяц назад

      @@ThePatriotParadox If your going for cheap coil machine you will need to know how to tune them and make them better. I would look for something with a cast frame or a thinker frame. None of those really thin framed ones that looked like stamped sheet metal. They bend or weren't made right and the geometry of the machine is all off. Don't get really small frame machine there is no wiggle room for error in the tuning and if its not spot on the stupid thing will always go out of tune. This topic would make a good video because there is a lot to discuss. Most of the cheap rotary machines are fine but they will break. Buy a bunch of them because you will get some tattoos out of them but they don't last forever. If you want rotary that is going to last I would pay a little more for something made better. I keep a bunch of these little swashdrive whips around around. They are wonderful for small needle work and small details. The motors on them burn out over time though. I always say since its cheaper buy more and see what you like. Play the field a little bit. Once you find something you love get one that's made better.

    What are the nylon screws that come in done machines beside the bar that holds your post to contact armature Bar spring?

    • @TattooUniversity
      @TattooUniversity Месяц назад

      @@ThePatriotParadox The tattoo machine is set up to complete a circuit and it is electrical. you need to make sure. Dad parts that conduct electricity don't touch certain parts. that is why the tattoo machine is a combination of conductive parts and non-conductive parts. metal parts and plastic or nylon parts.

    • @TattooUniversity
      @TattooUniversity Месяц назад

      @@ThePatriotParadox just a side note hearing they make nylon screws but I don't like to use them. because you can break the heads off of them if you tighten them too much. also, you need to tighten your screws down so they don't move so I prefer to use metal. sometimes the better option is to have a metal screw. Dad, that is protected from the machine frame with a plastic insert covering the screw

    • @TattooUniversity
      @TattooUniversity 2 месяца назад

      @@alejandrofernandez-cr6dm that depends on the frame of your tattoo machine. if it will allow the arm bar to travel that far and also make contact with the contact screw where it needs to be.

    • @TattooUniversity
      @TattooUniversity 2 месяца назад

      @@alejandrofernandez-cr6dm The arm bar will travel a further distance which will lower your cycles per second. you also have the front spring attach the arm bar making contact with the contact screw. So I was talking to a health department employee at a tattoo shop. She was saying that when it comes to rinsing your needle or making washes. She asked everyone what is the state regulated product to use. I and everyone in the shop replied immediately with “distilled water”. She came back with “no you’re all wrong, you must use sterile water.” I’ve been wrecking my brain ever since to try to figure out why a sterile water ie; water with no “living” organic particles. Could possibly be slightly better than distilled water.. ie; water with ZERO particles of material at all. None, zip, zilch, nah-tah! Being that sterile water. is water that had its organic particles murdered. Leaving all of the inorganic particles behind, along with all of the dead bodies and body parts of the organic material and particles. I did a few years upstate in a cosmetology facility. I had a very good C.O. , I mean, teacher there. And one of the things that always resonated with me was that when you have the remnants of living organic particles or anything that was alive i.e. plants mammals germs bugs. When these things die. They don’t just disappear. What comes next in the process of life. The occurrence of attracting other living animals/bugs/germs/birds and even dinosaurs in the past. And these dead bodies don’t just attract other of the same or even similar types of organisms. Dead bodies attract the most fierce and largest living things with naturally formed tools for dissecting and dismembering flesh with a digestive system that can handle almost anything. To be honest, I think I’d rather take my chances with the. lol. Distilled water continues to be my preference. The only cooties that will be in distilled water will be the ones that were delivered by the same ecosystem they will be going back to.. and everyone from that ecosystem is already equipped and ready to fight all of the vultures and dinosaurs that they are used to. Anything else will be alien in nature.
